A Golden Day

Imagine a sunny Sunday at Burghley

surrounded by all your family
gathered to celebrate a Golden Wedding

Brothers and sister, children, grandchildren,
cousins: first, second, third and all stages removed.

The best man was there too
and three bridesmaids
who all remembered the windy day in Lincoln
which was the very start of the fifty years.

We drank the strawberry punch
and chatted
and ate the delicious food
and chatted some more
and enjoyed the spectacular Croquembouche.

And of course we toasted the happy couple:
Many congratulations to my Parents-in-Law
Thomas and Audrey

My parents' 53rd is coming up ... I find it amazing to be able to stay together for such a long time. They set and example for all of us.
The pictures are splendid as usual, the ambience, the gardens! and obviously that croquenbouche ... mmmmmmhhh!

  8. How wonderful. And look at those flowers. And the Croquembouche. Absolutely delightful. We're starting to organise a little something for my in-law's Ruby wedding anniversary in October. Sounds so easy...

Thank you for recording our wonderful day with so many happy memories, especially of family and special friends who were present. Relationships matter more than anything else. We look back with love and deep affection on 50 years which have passed in a flash.
