We have just returned from a week in Florence.
I don't want you think this was
a week of hedonistic sight seeing, shopping
and sampling the various gelateria.
Oh no.
MrM decided that we needed to do an art course,
looking at masterpieces in the morning
and learning the techniques in the afternoon.
What could possibly go wrong?
Renaissance Art for Beginners
is not for the faint-hearted reader.
I thought it was only fair
to give you a day's warning.
Get a good nights sleep.
Have some rescue remedy at hand.
You have been warned.
In the meantime
here are some photos of Florence.
You're welcome.

Oooh so very lovely. What on earth could possibly go wrong when one is in Florence?
ReplyDeleteYou mean apart from the issues of way too much ice cream and credit card damage from new handbags?
DeleteFlorence is my favourite Italian city. No contest. (I took my first steps in Florence at 11 months, thought you might want to know that)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back.
Dear Monica, I can easily imagine you in designer toddler wear walking across the Ponte Vecchio. I bet you were a bellissima bambina.
DeleteMrM, you are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paola...that made MrM's day for sure!

ReplyDeleteHello Deborah thank you for reading.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't write the blog I wouldn't have taken these photos and they have given me a lot of pleasure - at the time and now when I remember what a lovely holiday it was.
