I saw the Ponte Vecchio at sunset...
and I appreciated culture...
and I went to the Covered Market...
and I saw a policeman on a stegway
(this one is for you, bb)
and I enjoyed the not-so-cultural...
and I missed MasterM...
and I ate ice cream at midnight with MissM...
and I accidentally deleted 246 photos.
Don't laugh.

Nooooooooooooo
ReplyDeleteOh, nooooo....I'm so sorry...but the one of MissM is a treasure.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone would find that funny. I feel devastated on your behalf. Ice cream at midnight sounds wonderful though.....
ReplyDeleteThe one of Miss M is lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you have the perfect excuse to go back: to re-take your lost photos!

Oh, I am so sorry about the photos - but you still have the experience and the memories, and I am just rather sad that you didn't take me with you in your suitcase. We nearly went to Florence on our honeymoon, then went on a tour of Turkey instead where I fainted at the gates of Ephesus and had the worst holiday of my life, ever!

MrsM suffered from a fit of Stendhal Syndrome I fear - or perhaps she was just fiddling with her camera whilst we waited half an hour round the back of the Baptistery for MissM to materialise ...
ReplyDeleteLaugh!! I bet you could sob. Still ice cream at midnight makes up for it a little bit?
ReplyDeleteSome would say that having one beautiful picture of one beautiful daughter may be enough - the others are just an add on.
Hi alice, we are off to Florence this Summer and cannot wait (honeymooned there some years ago). Sounds like Ms M is having a ball!. sorry to hear about the photos, you will just have to go again and take some more! xx
ReplyDeleteTwo hundred and forty six? Wow.
ReplyDeleteStill, ICE CREAM.
A great loss, your photographs are so exquisite, I can only imagine. It appears you have mastered the art of minimalism. The seven images here are treasures, especially the delightful MissM.
ReplyDeleteAw! But at least you got to go to Florence.
ReplyDeleteThats awful, but at least you now have an excuse to go again...did you go to top up her cash flow?? :-)
ReplyDeleteOh no! You will have to go back asap to take them all again.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love the slightly anxious look on the face of the policeman. He looks as though he would rather be on foot.
sorry for the loss of pictures. glad you had a beautiful time though. sending some hugs
ReplyDeleteWhy is the policeman for me?
ReplyDeleteoh dear, are you busy next weekend? a retake perhaps....
ReplyDeleteNot laughing at all. It sounds as though you had a wonderful time despite the photos being lost... and of course you have to go back now!
ReplyDeleteIf you time it right with the next ash cloud, you could get yourself stranded in Florence with Miss M and the gelato. Just saying ...
