MissM and the musical MissA
went skating today
at the Tower of London.
Not the most obvious activity
for our ailing heroine
with aforementioned cough
but MissM informs MrsM that
nothing is allowed
to get in the way
of serious holiday fun.
"I'm not going to waste my time
lying on the sofa
doing a Downton-athon."
(MrsM realises that she has
accidentally slipped into old age
because a Downton-athon
sounds quite appealing.)

Yep, sign me up for the Downton-athon. Especially if snacks are involved.
ReplyDeleteOld ladies unite.
Cough, cough, cough. Apparantly it's called Post Viral Cough.....that's helpful to know. Cough, cough, cough etc. Have not watched DTNA yet, but shall do so
ReplyDeleteOh, Miss M, such energy. I'd be joining you on the sofa, Alice - all I want for Christmas really is for someone else to take over and leave me on the sofa in peace!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with MissM.
ReplyDeleteAt her age NOTHING shoudl get in the way of having fun.
I loved Downton Abbey.
I didn't know that there was an ice rink in the ToL. Still, I expect you can get them anywhere nowadays. I used to go to the one in Richmond every weekend and loved it, even got my own skates.
ReplyDeleteI expect she'll stop coughing whilst there...
I'm up for the Downton-athon. Our public television station is airing the first season again this weekend, and then FINALLY we'll get to see the new episodes in January.
