Shopping with MrM

MissM
Can we have heated rear seats
in the new car?

MrM
No.

MissM
Please. Please. Please.
It is really nice if you are cold.

MrM
No.

MissM
What happens if we are really cold.
And wet.
And we don't have a blanket?

MrM
Have you completely forgotten
what happened the last time
we had heated seats in a car?
MasterM used to wait until you were asleep
and then he would switch them on
so that you had terrible dreams
and woke up roasting alive?

MissM
MasterM is a bit older now.

MrM
I bet he would still do it.

  1. You must get these! Adding this upgrade to my car model was the best $1,000 ever spent. I use them every day, even in the summer.. haha

  5. I misread that as heated seats being really lovely if you are *old*. I was about to wholeheartedly agree.

    Sigh.

  8. I had never heard of such an optional in a car.
Of course he would still do it (said a younger sister of 2).

  11. I can't imagine driving around with a warm seat! (Are you getting some for the front seats? It seems it should be a benefit of being the grown ups.)

  12. We have definitely decided against the heated steering wheel option - wear gloves if one is that desperate although I always have a slight fear of the open backed driving gloves which look a bit creepy I think

  15. I shall of course be choosing a heated Zimmer frame, possibly a tandem version

Isn't Mr M just a tad frightened that because of a "deprived childhood" Miss M might just have the front section of the tandem wired into the National Grid? Mwah .... ha..... ha.... ha....ha!
