I think we have all worked hard this week.
Shall we just look
at photos of bird cages today?
Perhaps we could have
some background music?
Nothing too demanding.
In my next life
I am planning to have
a greenhouse just for orchids.
White orchids.
I shall hang a choice selection
of ivory vintage bird cages
and the effect will be charming.
You are all invited.
There will probably be cake.
Frangipanes, I think.

La cage aux folles en effet
ReplyDeleteWV: colly as in bird
Frangipanes are my favorite! I love the lacy patterns of the bird cages.
ReplyDeleteWV:saggib I hope my gib is not sagging too! xo
I'll come and visit.
ReplyDeleteYes, please...
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what kind of cake that is, but I'll be there.
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank you in advance. I hope my situation in my next life allows me to attend.
ReplyDeleteAnd will we drink from exquisitely painted porcelain cups? (Claps hands with anticipation!)
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely piece of escapism before I go out to work.....
I hope there will be tea too, in dainty bone china cups.
ReplyDeleteWould it be alright if I brought something equally delicate, say madelienes? It is just the almond paste in the frangipanes is less than agreeable.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, I enjoyed the music.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would be quite happy to eat Trash's unwanted frangipane.
Beautiful images and music, thank you for providing an oasis of calm in a hectic day. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteWV kindsyn!
I had been thinking my next life might involve pearl diving in the Arabian Sea, but perhaps I could be persuaded otherwise ... Frangipanes you say?
ReplyDeleteYou got me at cake.
ReplyDeleteI'll bring some bubbly if you allow me to.
Birdcages always remind me of my honeymoon (so they feature on the fabric of our bedroom blinds). We went to Paris, which seemed to be full of markets selling them, for some reason.
