It is late at night.
MrsM is enjoying idle banter
with her twitter pals:
@LadyoftheLattes; @silverpebble2;
@TheListwriter and @driftwood_daisy
They are discussing @poshyarns apple cake
and other stuff.
Suddenly it all gets serious.
@DrHG
says quietly *are you running?*
@MrsM
replies bashfully
"carefully - but building up stamina."
@DrHG
...reckon I could persuade you
to join in 5k Race for Life next year?
we can wear ponchos. :-)
@MrsM
Aaaargh...don't do this to me...
@DrHG
we can have Kettle chips
and sparking wine
waiting at the other end. :-)
@MrsM
OK - its a deal
but only if you are serious
about the Kettle chips
@DrHG
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I will run with Sarah's name on my back.
Because she can't run in the sunshine anymore.

I can think of no better reason to run it than in memory of your friend Sarah.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
It is so odd that you have mentioned Sarah.
ReplyDeleteShe has been on my mind this week.
You introduced me to her long ago.
I love that you will honour her this way.
A heady mixture of reasons to run. I am very impressed indeed.
ReplyDeleteGo Alice........
ReplyDeleteI would love to come and cheer you on. Loudly. I could hold the kettle chips. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteGood for you MrsM, a lovely way to honour Sarah and do something positive.
ReplyDeletenow I feel that the apple cake and other stuff was rather trivial. good luck with the training, I've done Race for Life twice but I've only ever walked it. maybe this is the year.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a wonderful person. I am really happy I've met you. Truly.
ReplyDeleteCheering you on right now. I hope you've started training!
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of friendship goes on, even after our friends are departed. You are a good friend to Sarah...
ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to run in the sunshine because someone you cared about no longer can, who else could put their intention so beautifully?
