In the evening the sun illuminates the west side and the red brick glows. It still surprises and delights me, this vast Victorian 'chateau', I must photograph it more often.
I am reminded of a very old joke about where does the number 40 bus stop ?
I write this safe in the knowledge that MrsM is unlikely to get to read this for a while as she is off to have her hair cut or coiffed - looks lovely anyway of course
