Walking across campus in sunshine
I see that the branches of the
cherry tree are heavy with bloom
and I wonder that I have become so blind
that I had not noticed the buds shatter
or the whiteness seep out, petal by petal.
There is no April in the silent world.

Paintings by Diego Valentín Díaz (c. 1650)

Everything is in bloom.
Colours are everywhere.
Petals flutter all over.
It's beautiful.
Or in the case of our household, There is no silence in the April world.
