opening, closing, opening

I have spent the evening transferring my Google Reader subscriptions to The Old Reader - I know I could have imported them all at once but it was an opportunity to think about what I am reading. Sometimes it is good to let go, to acknowledge that  your life has moved on over the years and what you want to read will have changed too.

I also bid farewell to bloggers I followed that have stopped posting over the years. Thank you for your posts - they were opportunities for me to meet people and see places that I would not otherwise have had.

But mostly I felt overwhelming gratitude to all of my amazing blog friends who continue to post and enrich my life with their experiences. Thank you - all of you - you're lovely.

  3. Sometimes I shall peep through your keyhole and dash off, holding your words and images in my head for the day. Other times I shall pop a note under your door........ It's such a lovely door to your world.

Today it doesn't feel right, all of a sudden it's time to appear here after visiting and reading quietly for I don't know how long. Maybe because I love doors and these look so inviting, most likely because your words never fail to touch me. Catherine.

    1. Welcome Catherine and thank you for those kind words. I took the photos in Frigiliana, a white village in Andalusia.

    1. Nothing, dearest, I iron nothing at all. There is evidence of long term incompetence and idleness in my ironing basket.

Oh, another Reader that I hadn't heard of! I transferred, originally to Feedly but I couldn't get comfortable with it. I am currently with Bloglovin but I am uncertain about it, too. I thought Google Reader was closing on Monday, but it went yesterday! I shall look at the Old Reader, thank you. thank you also, for the pictures, I do love doors (windows too).

    1. I like the Old Reader because it is no frills. It doesn't update as regularly as I am used to which means that when I edit live posts the evidence is still there for a while.

Thank you! I love reading your comments and even though I don't always have time to reply I am really grateful to every one who joins in the conversation.
