The Mother-Son Dynamic

MasterM
Can I borrow some of your CDs?

MrsM smiles at her son.
He is wearing his 'Respect Your Mother' T Shirt.
MrsM decides that he is a very fine young man.

MasterM
I feel uncomfortable about this.
There is something fundamentally wrong
about borrowing CDs from your mother.
I may have to change my taste in music.

MrsM decides he is a less fine young man
than she had originally thought.

  3. It is dawning on me just how much I have missed the antics of Master M. I feel he has much to teach me of the art of boy-mothering.

  4. It's these priceless exchanges that make me realise how much I miss Joe!

But it's when they swap recipes with you that you realise boundaries have really been crossed.

  5. My son has a t-shirt that says: "Parents for sale, buy one get one free".
That tells us all a lot about you son and my son ...

  6. I like Master M's t-shirt, and Paola's too. I can see times when both would be suitable here. Clearly there is nothing wrong with Master M's music taste, it is his funky mother who has all the young style.

  7. MrM never gets asked for music - my tastes are more martial than marital with a dash of bluegrass.

  8. He loves his mum's taste in music, he just doesn't want it widely known. This makes it your duty to share this information on your blog. Well done, you are a fabulous mother!
