High Noon

What a shame that you fell asleep!
They showed the alternative ending -
it was a real movie-fan treat.
But really sad...

MrM (still groggy)
Gary Cooper died!!
I didn't know there was
an alternative ending.

It was the director's preferred ending
but he was over-ruled by United Artists.

You should have woken me up

MrsM (kindly)
You were so tired
I felt sorry for you.

  1. Oh, naughty MrsM!

I am not feeling sorry for Mr DC. He set his alarm for 20 minutes earlier than mine, waking me up, and then promptly rolled over and went back to sleep. Grrr.

  2. Was it true? Did he die? When we were children, I used to torment my sister, who cried at the drop of a hat when watching a film, by telling her at the start that the main characters all died in the end. I'm slightly ashamed of this now, but it was always hugely effective....

  3. I like your style Mrs M - what a giggle.

  4. I promise never to split on you Mrs M. My lips are sealed.

  5. Conking out on a Friday evening after a hard week at work - suprised I could remember which film it was let alone the ending.
