We are in Cornwall for a week,
staying in a tiny cottage,
taking time to rest,
reading,
visiting family,
walking on the moor,
eating when we are hungry.
It is a grown up kind of holiday
but we are still making time
to eat at Jelberts of Newlyn,
makers of the best ice cream in Cornwall.

Should you ever come back this way I shall make sure I have a supply of Great-Aunt Lucie's Ice Cream on hand.
ReplyDeleteSpend a day for me!
ReplyDeleteI could use a grown-up holiday right about now.
I shall tell my Hubby that you are in Cornwall - on holiday (indeed I will even go so far as to email him a link to this post) - and this will remind him that he is indeed NOT in Cornwall, on holiday, eating pasties ... this will be sufficient revenge for his cold toes waking me up this morning... :-)
ReplyDeleteJelbert's? Roskilly's?
ReplyDeleteAll Cornish recommendations eagerly noted. Off to Cornwall at end of August for the first time in 24 years!
(No, that can't be right - 24 years? But I was an 'adult', and I was with Hubby-to-be??
...counts on fingers...)
So that's where all the sunshine is! Have a lovely time and enjoy that ice-cream!
ReplyDeleteAhhh ... Cornwall.
ReplyDeleteWell I have to confess to having a 'jelberts' 2 or 3 times a week! A regular haunt for Walter and me. Sunshine today...at last. Hurrah!
ReplyDeleteHappy hols, Alice!
Enjoy it - don't know about the ice cream, but your holiday sounds just about right, and you seem to have seen the sun. Finally feeling well enough to plan and book one for myself (and Gardener) - but too afraid of yet more rain to stay here, so we're off to Majorca in Sept. (Can we wait that long??)
