East of the Sun and West of the Moon
Kay Nielsen (1914)
MissM, connoisseur of fairy stories,
has received her starry exam results
and will be reading English at university
and the Charming MasterN
has received equally starry results
and will be reading Geography at university.
All the hard work is forgotten
and tonight we will be celebrating.

ReplyDeleteBut won't there be a Gap Year in which MissM journeys to rural Missouri to impart knowledge of Hinduism, fairy stories and fashion to a family hungry for what she has to offer??

Sounds to me like a wonderful beginning - the product of hard work.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news. I'm surrounded by neighbours where there has been dreadful wailing and gnashing of teeth, followed by frantic and fruitless calls to universities, so it's encouraging to hear of some youngsters who did well! Enjoy your celebrations.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I followed the link to the post about fairy stories, and have now got another excuse (as if one was needed) to spend hours reading lovely blogs....
Oh, congratulations. Many of them.
ReplyDelete(By the way, did she see my new fairy stories link the other day? She might find it interesting).
congratulations all around.
ReplyDeleteyippee.
Splendid !! May they enjoy every second of it .
ReplyDeleteWell done MissM and MasterN - we too have been celebrating - Sarah got her results too and will got to Hertfordshire Uni to train to be a Physiotherapist - the receipt of a letter from them this morning informing her she'd been allocated her first choice of accommodation was met with a see-saw of emotions from total delight to absolute dread thinking she's got in and now it's a reality - happy days (where are the tissues for Mum?)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for all the very kind comments you've all left! The Charming MasterN and I are very happy it's all over now and can relax as much as we want (for a while at least!)
ReplyDeleteMissM xx
So so happy for you all - congratulations to Miss and Master...
ReplyDeleteNow Mrs you can quietly email me her A level results - just as you did for me with masterM!
Congratulations to both of you and I hope that the celebrations went on well into the night :)
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations to all! I have been away, so lovely to come home to such good news.
