Irresistible Temptation

I went to supper with Ali
and it was all delicious
and then we had macarons.

I said "I MUST photograph them"
and she said "It's too dark"
and I said "I think you are wrong"

Ali was right.
Of course.
I have known her for four years now...
I should have known better.

  1. These are lovely and extremely tempting - but surely there are macaroons?

  2. It may have been a misprint, but I'm read on a box of Raymond Blanc macarons that they have so few calories as to be positively virtuous. Of course, that may have been cancelled out by inhaling the whole box ...

  9. Never having had one of these trendy little delicacies, I have no idea what too dark means - should they have glowed like jewels? They look lovely, anyway, and I hope you ate them all.....

  10. Just the richness of color I hope for every year while dyeing Easter eggs. The cookies tempt me more because they look less sweet.

  12. They look wonderful, but since what we on this side of the pond call macaroons are shredded coconut/sugar/egg white blobs (very delicious ones, but looking nothing like these pieces of eye candy), I think samples may need to be sent around. You know. For research and educational purposes.

  14. They look, at first glance, like giant smarties - the new kind you understand with only natural food colouring - oh dear, with children my age should I know what they look like at all?
