the still point

Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage which we did not take
Towards the door we never opened
Into the rose-garden.

I have struggled with this post.
I wanted to say something about
silence and watery sunshine,
oblique light and retreat,
but the words would not come.
I offer you the photos as they are.

  11. Amy,
Thank you for visiting and for your comment. I see what you have tried to do but while your version captures the content of the words the sound of my voice is missing. Sometimes, what appears to be artless has taken a long time to compose and balance. It may still be artless but only then can I let it go.

Thank you again for your comment which has made me think about this.
