Footfalls echo in the memory

Towards the door we never opened
Into the rose-garden.

I have struggled with this post.
I wanted to say something about
silence and watery sunshine,
oblique light and retreat,
but the words would not come.
I offer you the photos as they are.

Sometimes

are
enough.
... and speak for themselves.
ReplyDeletePerfect as is.
ReplyDeleteOh beauties.
ReplyDeleteno need for words.
ReplyDeleteI am longing to open up the cupboard of blue dishes.
Sometimes beautiful images require no words, as now.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I think the pictures say it all.
ReplyDeleteYou did say it, with some editing..
ReplyDeleteSilence and watery sunshine,
Oblique light and retreat,
Photos as they are.
Toooo lovely/lovingly/loverly...for words.
ReplyDelete(My post today was about simplicity.. more often than nought it is ENOUGH) :-) XX
The photos as they are say it all. Quiet stillness.
ReplyDeleteThe peace is reflected in your pictures - thank you Alice
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and for your comment. I see what you have tried to do but while your version captures the content of the words the sound of my voice is missing. Sometimes, what appears to be artless has taken a long time to compose and balance. It may still be artless but only then can I let it go.
Thank you again for your comment which has made me think about this.
Who needs words with glorious images like these x
ReplyDeletethe beauty is in the imperfections
