Bank Holiday Monday

Sunshine on a Bank holiday!

Has it ever happened before?

Breakfast on the patio...
and then a stroll around the garden
to see what we can see:

clouds of apple blossom,

pink camellias,
(very, very pink.)

all of my pots are done!
I am impressed by myself...

and here is the first tree paeony
just about to burst open.

Summer is just around the corner!

  4. I believe there has been a sunny Bank Holiday in the Neolithic; when obviously it was a Stone Holiday. It's a ancient ritual! :-) xx

Beautiful photos! What is the little pink flower in the pot? (The picture above the camellia).....

Whoops, I meant the picture *after* the camellia, obviously.....since that is where you mention pots, don't know why I typed before.

  7. Lovely, lovely pinks, Mrs M! A bit too early for that color here, but I just posted a series of lush greens, which are quite dazzling to my eyes at the moment :)

  8. You see, I could everything until now. The gorgeous china (I KNEW it would look amazing outside!); the sudden appearance of sun, more than once every decade; the great display of photos; the amazing words you gift us; but the peony? In a pot? No, sistah, that I cannot take.
I've been trying for ages to grow peonies here but they will not, too hot for them, not enough cold/humid/damp/whatever they need weather. I tried and every time I failed I tried again. Because peony is MY flower. And it cannot be in YOUR pot.
    Mkay?
Foot stomping, arms crossed on chest, grumpy VERY angry face.
Now, post it when it blooms so I can go on with my CRAZY rant.
