remembering Sarah

It is late at night.
MrsM is enjoying idle banter
with her twitter pals:
@LadyoftheLattes; @silverpebble2;
@TheListwriter and @driftwood_daisy
They are discussing @poshyarns apple cake
and other stuff.

Suddenly it all gets serious.

says quietly *are you running?*

replies bashfully
"carefully - but building up stamina."

...reckon I could persuade you
to join in 5k Race for Life next year?
we can wear ponchos. :-)

Aaaargh...don't do this to me...

we can have Kettle chips
and sparking wine
waiting at the other end. :-)

OK - its a deal
but only if you are serious
about the
Kettle chips

I will run with Sarah's name on my back.
Because she can't run in the sunshine anymore.

  1. I can think of no better reason to run it than in memory of your friend Sarah.
    Good Luck!

  2. It is so odd that you have mentioned Sarah.

    She has been on my mind this week.

    You introduced me to her long ago.

    I love that you will honour her this way.

  3. A heady mixture of reasons to run. I am very impressed indeed.

  4. I would love to come and cheer you on. Loudly. I could hold the kettle chips. Seriously.

  5. Good for you MrsM, a lovely way to honour Sarah and do something positive.

  6. now I feel that the apple cake and other stuff was rather trivial. good luck with the training, I've done Race for Life twice but I've only ever walked it. maybe this is the year.

  7. You are such a wonderful person. I am really happy I've met you. Truly.

  8. Cheering you on right now. I hope you've started training!

  9. The beauty of friendship goes on, even after our friends are departed. You are a good friend to Sarah...

  10. Leave it to you to run in the sunshine because someone you cared about no longer can, who else could put their intention so beautifully?

Thank you! I love reading your comments and even though I don't always have time to reply I am really grateful to every one who joins in the conversation.
