MrsM
Turkey broth for lunch!
MasterM
Urrghhh...
MissM
Don't say it like that...
Turkey broth is very nourishing.
MasterM
Are you mad?
Do you know what is in it?
Turkey bones
Turkey skin
Turkey neck
Turkey head
Turkey claws
and Turkey toeneails.
MrsM
So that will be a no...

That *would* be a NO.
ReplyDeleteHe makes a strong case. We should all try to avoid all food containing toenails.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the sound of turkey necks either ever since I have started developing one of my own.
ReplyDeleteI think South Africa may have spoiled that boy. Turkey necks and toenails cannot compete with lion gizzards and elephants ears.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least he knows how to make stock...
ReplyDeleteNo from me too! Incidentally, my great grandson hates his mother's Brussels sprouts, but loves my 'little cabbages'. However, at 21 I think MasterM may not be quite so gullible! Happy days!

Ah! Now here our boys differ...
ReplyDeleteI had to ask Mr DC to remove the giblets from the turkey while I looked away. I have too vivid memories of the time I cooked a duck with the little plastic wrapped package still inside it ...
ReplyDeleteToenails! HAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteAND my WF : LICKTING
Was he exaggerating? Toenails? If he wasn't, maybe I'd be on his side.....
ReplyDeleteI'd eat it! The toenails give it that lovely golden color. I use the claws when I make chicken stock.
ReplyDeleteOK the toenails did it for me.....Bleugh!! Still I get waste not want not :-)
ReplyDeleteYou should have included carrots and onions and celery. Makes it much better.
