Last night I stood on the landing
and realised that all four of us
were sleeping under the same roof
for the first time for nearly a year
and at that moment I knew
I already had everything
I wanted for Christmas.

ReplyDeleteI thought of you today, Alice, when I took a fresh cranberry cobbler out of the oven...I really must get my skates on and learn to make that butter brandy - seems like a perfect companion piece to the sweet/tartness of cranberries!
