afterword

when the light switches on unexpectedly
there is a moment of shock
but if you have sat in the dark for a while
there is also relief

you know that nothing will ever look the same again
and you sit there trying to make sense of it

and then you reach out
to the new world

Your words are so beautiful and thought provoking Alice, but 'afterword' is especially poignant and strangely comforting. Thank you Alice. Bobby x

I am speechless, a rare event. I loved the sequence, have read over and over, going to print out so I can have your words in how my mind works, consecutive order and on paper. Delightful, a little intimidating and very inspiring. Thank you.

Oh Alice, you know how much I love your words, how I long for you to take them further. These posts were such a wonderful surprise as I catch up so late to the party. Wonderful, dancing words, they conjure up so many thoughts and images. Really rather brilliant Alice.

Dear Alice C,
i have refrained from posting comments while reading through your archives, for fear it would feel burdensome to you as they would have piled up like cord wood. but i had to put a note here just to say i loved these poems. And, thank you
