MissM packs a 'capsule wardrobe':
one pair of trousers,
one styled skirt,
three tops
and an Italian bag.
I have no idea who taught her how to do this.
It definitely wasn't me.
and yes!
that IS the Charming MasterN
travelling incognito.

Cripes, that's a skill I need. Off to work out how to dress for 'casual', 'business casual' and formal for next week's conference without carrying luggage 'on'. The tricky part is how to get my enormous sandshoes in the bag so I can go for morning walks.
ReplyDeleteClever girl!
ReplyDeleteIn every sense. From the back I can tell she has a very good taste indeed.
(please allow me this shallow comment, you know I am like that so why hide it, I was just looking at MasterN, still am).
Quick stupid question: why didn't you all go together ...
It is so important to have the right accessories!
ReplyDeleteYes she has got ALL of her accessories put together beautifully -
ReplyDeleteand a talent I am in awe of is to pack so wisely..
when you find out who taught her please ask if they would consider a guest post x
ReplyDeleteWish I had that skill. Does Miss M run sartorial tutorials?
ReplyDeleteI think that it is always important to have a proper loading list. Unfortunately I seem to take too many guide books - left the 1900 edition of Baedeker Paris (published in time for the Paris Exposition) at home with manuscript recommendation on where to get a good cup of tea and read the English newspapers - nowadays it would be an internet cafe.
ReplyDeleteI should explain that the rather fashionable handbag MissM is sporting was originally intended to be a netbook case but it transpired to be half an inch too small. By the time we had found this out at home in England it was not possible to return it to the shop in Italy so MissM decided that the other thing was to soldier on with it in an alternative capacity.
Weirdly enough Ashleigh LOVES packing - the folding, the arranging and being under the weight limit is like gold to her.
ReplyDeleteThe bag is lovely and should be included in all future trips!
Ohhh Alice. Delightful MissM and Charming MasterN in Paris. Doesn't it just make your heart skip a beat?
ReplyDeletePlease don't tell me she got it all in the Italian bag. To be young, heading out and not anticipating every possible disaster, weather or otherwise allows for minimalism. I am working on that, but age is against me.
An Italian bag? Where does a teenager come by one of those?
ReplyDeletePerhaps Miss M could take me shopping? K x
ReplyDeleteVery sensible MissM indeed
ReplyDeleteI had it drilled in to me from an early-ish age; take as little as possible, wash clothes if you can, therefore more room to bring stuff back!
Paris? PARIS!!!! (sigh) Yes, I agree with Paola. Clever girl, indeed!
ReplyDeleteNow I am worrying that she is going to be cold. Is it cold there? Will is rain?
ReplyDeleteAh Paris Again...(green with envy ;-)) She is a clever one isn't she, I always pack too much!
ReplyDeleteTres chic! Love that bag.
ReplyDeleteI hope she has a marvelous time!
