I think it is my duty
to share these pictures
of embroidered boots.
I really want a pair of these boots
even though I am sure that I would not
be brave enough to wear them.
There is an H.E.Bates short story
which haunted me as a teenager
about a woman who had a wardrobe
full of extravagant ball gowns
that she looked at but never wore.
Have I become that woman?

I don't know anyone who would wear them and I'm not sure it has anything to do with bravery.
ReplyDeleteOkay... hands up, I'd wear them. Where did you find them?
ReplyDeleteHmm, not too sure about those...
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful boots! LOL - I would buy a pair with every intention of wearing them. Might even put them on - but then probably take them off again before leaving the house. ~~~sigh~~~ - sometimes bravery has to be built up to.
ReplyDeleteWow! where are they from? Gorgeous & I love them. Just think of wearing them as a public service in cheering up a British winter :-)
ReplyDelete... you could always wear them in the house when you arrange your blue and white china on vintage chopping boards?
ReplyDeleteThey're fab.
They're lovely! I would wear them, I love colours!
