So...we were in the far end field
and Grandad said
"We will have a lot of people
coming through here next week
on the Parish boundary walk
and I'm not sure where the best place
to get through this hedge is"
and Grandma said
"I always climb up that tree
and jump down on the other side...
why can't they do that?"

The problem with Grandma is that
she behaves as though she is 18.
Well, maybe not as old as 18
perhaps 16...
I love Grandma's courageous and undaunted spirit. She is a girl after my own heart.
ReplyDeleteAs it should be... and I can only hope and pray that my feeble attempts to take care of myself result in a similar zest and unencumbered approach in my "golden years" PS - I loved our African posts too... brought back such memories! One thing can definitely be said about South Africa - it's beauty will leave you slack jawed! have a great week! :-)
ReplyDeleteGrandma rocks. And is an inspiration to us all!
ReplyDeleteOh, that made me smile. Grandma reminds me of my Nan who at 86 is still behaving like an 18 year old and running us all ragged trying to keep up with her!
ReplyDeleteGo Grandma............
ReplyDeleteWhy should age deter us - a girl after my own heart.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing but admiration!
ReplyDeletea stile with style ...
ReplyDeleteI was half expecting Grandma to aay that she polevaults it every day
There is a little girl in all of us, clearly more in some than others. Atta girl.
ReplyDeleteA lesson to us all, I think!
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvellous way to be. I salute her!
ReplyDeleteReally, why can't they?
ReplyDeleteGrandma sounds great.
ReplyDeleteSmile.
