I confessed my secret passion for cauliflowers
a long, long time ago.
I have not mentioned them since.
Sometimes love must remain unspoken.

This post was the first time
that Ali commented on my blog.I can still remember laughing out loud as I read it.She has been a friend ever since.
This other Ali also loves cauliflower - but I like it only slightly cooked.....have never tried it as soup. Maybe I should.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no. Cauliflower as soup is just wrong; now risotto on the other hand ...
ReplyDeleteOh, we do pasta with cauliflower and we all LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteThe many lives of cauliflower.
I see Paola has a blogger symbol - is she getting closer to having a blog?
ReplyDeleteI adore with all my heart cauliflower cheese..
I adore cauliflower, but have never tried cauliflower soup. Yum. I think I just need to come over and copy out your entire recipe book!

We all love cauliflower here - reminds me I haven't made soup from it for ages. I'm fasinated, too by romanesque - that lovely geometric pattern!
ReplyDeleteHooray for cauliflowers and for friendship.
ReplyDeleteI am an unapologetic cauliflower lover. Everything from spicy soup, smooth puree, crunchy stir-fried cauli. All except cauliflower cheese - I can't bear to see my beloved cauliflower smothered with cheese sauce.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try cauliflower soup! One of my recent discoveries is the MFK Fisher non-recipe for cauliflower, which is basically cream, gruyere and cauliflower, baked. (I also butter the baking dish first, because I think Fisher just forgot to mention it.) Everyone loves this dish, and there is nothing to it...that's my kind of cooking!
