the last lap

there are things I could write about
meetings
but right now
mark entry
I
am
so
tired
moderation
that all I can offer you
minutes
is a pink rose on a blue plate

  1. It is a most welcome sight in a browser, I can tell you!
Hope that lap bell is ringing loud and clear. Take care.

  2. That's good enough for me. Especially when it's such a beautiful rose (and mine have stopped blooming).

    Hang in there...

It is more than enough for me.
Sometimes, more times..the beauty of simplicity..color and pattern is truly enough.
I have no roses, but I know the scent. Thank you for the poetry you create.

  4. Hang tight Alice - soon there will be time to stop and smell the roses.

  5. Sniff the rose. Imagine you're in the meadow. Think of afterwards.

  6. Not only your writing is poetic.
    Your pictures are as well.
Beautiful (how many times have I used this adjective here, how much more will I use it ...)

  9. Your pictures are as poetic as your prose. And your flower quite peoni(c), for a rose.

Good luck with the last lap|!

  17. I have a rose called 'Alchemist' outside my backdoor and its just coming into bloom now - working its magic - like only roses can. Its a gorgeous sunny yellow ochre colour and I look forward to it each year. Little things ...!
