Much Ado About A Header

1.
After a few months
on restricted blog rations
I can join in again
and it feels so good.

2.
Thanks to my friend, RW,
who gave this link
to a tutorial on making headers
at A Foothill Home Companion
(Way too much fun for a blog anorak like me)

3.
I opened a Picnik account
and started to play around
and before I knew what had happened
I had deleted the old header.

4.
And lost it.

5.
Panic sets in.
Will I have to spend hours
trying to find the original photo?

6.
Then Lovely Lucy
(who didn't have a blog but does now)
emailed me to say that she liked the new header.
(Which made me feel better)

7.
But there was still something
Not Quite Right.

8.
It made me feel cold when I looked at it.
(Possibly because it was a photograph of snow)
which WASN'T the effect I wanted
first thing in the morning.

9.
And then I remembered a photo
which I took on a walk
with my mother.

10.
It reminded me of two more blog friends
Silverpebble and DogDaisyChains
who have graduated
from blogging
to telepathy.

11.
And somehow it felt right.
So it is staying.

For a while.

12.
And I am really not sure
why I wrote this post as a list.

Proper sentences tomorrow.

Hopefully.

I liked the old header, I liked the one from yesterday, and I like this one too! If it makes you happy, then it's right. And I LOVE your list posts. =)

It's very lovely. As usual.

Your header looks marvelous, Alice...so simple yet also beautiful in a quiet, understated way.

I say keep it!

Argh. Why do I always end up next to CL???

She pokes me and pulls my hair! Make her stop!

I think there should be much ado about that header - it is beuatiful.Definitely one to keep for some time methinks.

Honestly can't something be done about theose two pinching and grumping at each other? I think you should make them sit up the front.

I like the new header too but am jealous because I had big ambitions for a three column blog via a tutorial, failed miserably and gave myself a headache trying to identify teeny weeny blocks of html. Thank goodness I didn't announce it in advance.

I love the new header. Puts me in mind of Angie Lewin and North Norfolk. K x

Beautiful new header. Now I think it's time I learned how to make a swish looking header for my blog... never having had one (apart from the bulk standard blogger thing)

I have 'header' nightmares too... it takes me hours to figure it out. then I promptly forget how I've done it and have to start again.

Like this one.

love it, the font is perfect

It's gorgeous. Seedheads always remind of Diana, for some reason - as she commented, you can never get enough.

Thanks for the link too, I changed my header at the new year, but have no idea how I did it!

I like this new header very much indeed. I find it rather optimistic.

One day every blog will sport an umbel.
Mwaaaahahahahaha! (thats meant to be an evil Hammer Horror laugh by the way)
Its a lovely header. But so are they all.

I find lists help when there is a threat of brain linguini. I would not be surprised if tangled noggin pasta encroached for you a little, given the events of last Thursday. I may be wrong of course.

You know how much I adore that header. It looks like a pen and ink drawing Alice. I am going back for another look. You've made my day (and it was already pretty good).

I hope you are keeping cheerful despite the tidiness.

I seemed to have joined a covern of two.

Mwaaahhhh ha ha haaaah! (wrings gnarled hands in glee)

Right, off to buy a cauldron at the hardware store. I shall consult Delia for a spell to calm my hair.

I notice eurolush and coffee lady are squabbling again - and this used to be such a refined place to visit.

I always appreciate lists. (I'm fond of the header too.)

I love the header.

But now I can't remember what the old one was.

I love this header - it is calm and peaceful.

Your blog is calm and peaceful.

Isn't Molly's tutorial brilliant? I was so impressed when I actually made a new header.

The snow header was lovely but this is more soothing indeed.
As you are.

It's lovely. Like you.

Mine won't let me have a header, which makes me both relieved and disappointed.

Wanted to say - Beautiful header. (I hid round the corner till the naughty jostly-boisterous girls had gone....)

Did you say, "blog anorak"?
