My garlic lives in one of those little terracotta domes, which lost its handle long ago. In hindsight this was perhaps no bad thing as it was shaped like a little garlic bulb, but at least it was always convinced of its function.
I'm thinking the whole of your readership is likely to share their garlic storage arrangements with you this morning - hope you are ready!
Well, quite, Ali. I have a garlic bowl that was given to me by a woman I did church work with in the late 70s and early 80s. She gave it to me as a wedding present then died only a couple of years later of cancer. I think of her often when I use it, it is a lovely pot, and she was an extraordinary person. I have had it since 1982. Touch wood...!
Thank you! I love reading your comments and even though I don't always have time to reply I am really grateful to every one who joins in the conversation.
Somehow, this makes our basket seem so meager.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the bowl has found it's niche.

What a beautifully simple thing.
ReplyDeleteAli is right. My garlic bowl is a small pink lustreware bowl. Heck I might even post a picture of it today in homage.
ReplyDeletePerfection.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that MrsM just has the garlic to keep me under control in case I get too frisky
ReplyDeleteI recongnized it. That post was fantastic. The things you showed impressed me and so as soon as I saw the bowl, I knew.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
Such a fab bowl--I remember the mug from your Origin post. And it's so nice to find the perfect use for something.
ReplyDeleteK x
I love that bowl, too. (My garlic just jumbles around in the refrigerator with everything else -- clearly unsatisfactory.)
ReplyDeleteIs Mr M a vampire?
