The way a crow*
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

is better in The Ozark Gazette.
A poem to bring joy, and a smile to my heart. Thankyou kindly.
ReplyDeletelovely poem and lovely picture - but please no snow, not yet. Knowing how the UK grinds to a halt at the first sniff of winter I can't stand the complication of snow to the morning's taxi run - I just don't have time to fit it into the schedule :o) Although a couple of feet (enough to close all the schools would be enough to save me from going in today to face the Ofsted inspectors - now there's a thought)
ReplyDeleteWell earned!
ReplyDeleteLovely poem.

PS Snow? We have 26.5°C right now with full on SUN.

oh I do love Robert Frost's poetry...
ReplyDeletesnow??????
My poetry professor used to refer to Robert Frost as 'Bob', which always made him sound more like a fishing buddy than a poet!
ReplyDeleteDo you really have snow?

Sigh.... I love Robert Frost.
ReplyDeleteBlackbird is so right to have given you the award........ what a lovely poem you found to "illustrate" being given it.
ReplyDeleteOh! Oh! I'm famous! You know, maybe I really should start an Ozark Gazette. I could use it to promote my calendula potions.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here in the semi-Ozarks just yet...
