Those apples remind me of wonderful apple varieties we used to eat, in our childhood. Varieties we never see any more, presumably because they were not commercial enough.Sadly, Cox's Orange is the only name I can recall.
I will keep that in mind. Could open the door to a whole new range of styling possibilities...
